The views accurately highlighted the impact of the tower and finger buildings on London’s skyline from protected viewing corridors. At the time of submission the proposed tower was Europe’s tallest residential building and highly contentious as it was set in a low rise area. Following intense scrutiny the tower was subsequently approved by John Prescott on behalf of Westminster and Lambeth Council.
